Directing two lightweight faux documentary rom-coms about touring by bus through Europe really felt like a project out of left field at the time. But these films were really fun to make. We had four uninhibited actors and an ace crew, and we travelled through France and Italy making something quite nice. Shot on a shoe-string budget, and with a very tight schedule, it required imagination, a lack of pretension and a willingness to just try stuff out.
