Matthew Huntley directed and shot this sponsored drama/doc for AXA on a Red One. Shooting with it was like working with a wall-safe. Fully rigged it weighed about as much as a wall safe. And was as effective as a wall-safe in low light. That’s not to say it wasn’t an enjoyable experience. Just physically tough. The images from it looked amazing to and the effort of manoeuvring it between setups focused minds on what was essential to get vs nice to have.
This camera made a huge impact when it launched.
