Getting ready to shoot a scene in a 3 minute ad sponsored documentary drama for AXA. The set was a replica of the front room of a local family home in Stockport. We’d found a disused factory nearby which we turned into a studio. Just out of shot are huge piles of dodgy tat – cheap knocked off games consoles, golf clubs, sports gear and clothing, just pushed into mouldering heaps on the floor. The place was open to the elements and pigeons which just added to the frisson.
To quote ACDC, it felt like a place where dirty deeds were done dirt cheap.
