The view across Dhaka from one of the textile factories we’ve been shooting in. I know we’ve been chaperoned around in a bubble, but I like this city and its people, who seem quite mellow and straightforward. But it’s also very densely populated, and the competition for everything is intense. Before I went I was expecting Bangladesh to be much like India, but Dakar seems very different to Calcutta, with none of the zany Indian colour or craziness.
